Maybe Gayton got hold of his nudes, plenty people have defected before but this must be the most out of nowhere defection.

Wow, that is very treacherous given that Jacobs has long been involved in the DA (came up through its youth structures) and was awarded with a plum job as an MP at a very young age. Surely the PA need to kick someone off their team in parliament now, as they can't have more MPs than what their vote share allowed? He definitely had a bright future if he had stayed in the DA. Likely would have been appointed as a shadow minister or minister in the next parliament.

No, PA will push someone who is already an MP off their list. No way Jacobs would transfer to PA without a guarantee of a fat MP salary like he had in the DA.
