I am not going to quote it, but he used the G20 to promote that dialogue works, and has always worked, and will work again... Eh, the National Dialogue. He threw shade at what the presidency perceives as bad actors and hinted at them attending the national dialogue to help solve "our" problems.

Now, this is my opinion, but dialogue doesn't work here. We don't have civil discourse, and minorities are disrupted time and time again.

Cyril isn't being persuasive. We have problems, and a national dialogue is not a remedy. The dialogue can be read by having a look at the public. We can't cherry-pick voices that shape our people, our culture, our identity, our language, our religion, and so on.

I hope that this isn't being urged on by members who sit on the G20.

A good start would be opening up our participation in the economy. This rule-based society isn't working.

So he's still butt hurt that we don't want to participate in the ancs election campaigning.

You misunderstood, the taxi mafia didn't let us use the bus lanes and shiny bus stations, they've been empty for a decade, well they not shiny anymore, covered in dust from being a white elephant.

That is all ANC does .. talk. And it's only in the ANC's and cadres Interest.. not SA. High unemployment , more BEE laws..

Ah, I see. The same fate awaits Joburg while Cape Town's MyCiti system has been running for about a decade.

If it truly was a CODESA-like event where everyone came together and found solutions (which would be binding by law to implement), cool.

But we all knew the ANC would warp this event to become an election campaign tool stacked with their allies, blowing taxpayer money to appear that "they're listening to all South Africans, btw VOTELA ANC FOR LEADER OF SOCIETY".

Meanwhile, almost none of the bigger parties back it in any way (i.e. no credibility).
Not DA, not EFF, not MK. The only ones who do are the little baby parties in GNU who thrive off sucking the ANC's balls (GOOD, RISE, PA, etc).

It doesn't make sense. There are urgent issues of corruption, poor service delivery, crime etc to sort out. Grow the economy by removing things like BEE at least in its current form.

You dont need a dialogue to do work that is stacked in front of you.
