And didn't accomplish it.
I was dispelling the lie peddled above. The mission to call out Trump on the lies and mend bilateral relations failed. It was a futile mission in the first place.

And yet Cyril couldn't foresee what the public in SA predicted would happen? That Trump was going to give Cyril a PK?

You mean he couldn't foresee Trump was going to lie like he lies about everything so often? No, it was a diplomatic mission. They're usually necessary and pointless at the same time.

Yet the public in South Africa predicted that Cyril would walk out of that meeting with his head stuck up his arse? Which is what happened.

Many people knew it was an exercise in futility. They were happy though that Trump was exposed. You may recall the memes that followed, or not.

You're telling me the President of a country walked into a meeting with his eyes open, knowing he would walk out of the meeting with his head stuffed up his arse in front of the world's media to expose lies he didn't know would be told?

He's damn lucky he wasn't asked about a couch stuffed with US Dollars. But that was diplomatically avoided.

Why didn't Cyril use the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, adopted in 1961, established for just such diplomatic spats, instead of insisting on a televised grovelling mission, which everybody but him could see was going to get his head handed to him on a platter?

Oh, wait, Cyril's diplomatic representative in Washington was expelled for openly supporting a US enemy and insulting the US President.

Cyril must be blissfully unaware, trying to appoint another ambassador who has ties to Iran and insulted the US President.

While the number remains staggeringly high, the revised poverty trends report indicates a decline of roughly 2.5 million people since 2015. StatsSA released this updated report almost eight years after its first major update.

“We can see that the lower bound poverty line is declining. So poverty is declining in South Africa,” a StatsSA representative concluded based on the latest figures.

84 murders a day. 1350 people leaving South Africa per week.

Poverty rate declining.

Do I have to say it?
