It is difficult not to weigh in, agree or refute. Joburg has become a cess pool on the roads throughout the city and suburbs.

Roads everywhere have potholes, they are cracking up towards potholes, and unevenness, it's utterly horrendous.

Some of the dirt roads in the Kruger National Park are better than this.

It's not going to get better soon.

Mountains of garbage, building rubble and **** is not a fines issue, it is a poor governance and mindset issue. You seem to be stuck in naval gazing mode. Try to see things from a bigger perspective, you will see a heluva lot more.
 
You know what Peter Kriel, you are right. Cape Town is this horrible Apartheid era monster. The best solution for this is to remove WC from SA and make it it's own sovereign country. At least then we can stop being subjected to your bad hair style and obvious bad makeup every week. Good plan I think. Independent all the way.

When 25 fat metro cops are all congregated around the Robots on Smith Street, sitting on their cell phones surrounded by garbage and vehicles wizzing by through red robots right next to them, fines are not the problem. There is another problem.

It is THIS problem that you either cannot see or simply refuse to talk about.

You may have seen a post I made in the past few weeks where I criticised actions of the metro police departments in GP. They think their mandate is limited to policing of traffic. Everything is rotting and collapsing around them.
