Mbaks would have been quiet. If he had any wisdom he'd do the same here or give the usual boiler plate canned response that says nothing in as many words as possible.

Whether he was a member or not, the best thing to do was to keep his trap shut. All he's done is draw more negative attention to the ANC because nobody is buying whatever he's trying to spin...

No, being quiet could never be an option for the SG of a party if a former member is implicated in what Mogotsi is implicated in.

You need to know your own constitution
He is still a member , just not in good standing
He has not ( unless you can show proof ) , nor has his membership been terminated as per your own constitution by a disciplinary hearing

So whathisface that said he is not a member just because he hasnt paid is incorrect
He is still a member ( though not in good standing ) untill such time as he resigns his membership or the party specifically terminates it.

If it was so easy to get rid of members , why was Zuma a member for so long and they battled to get rid of him
If they applied their constitution as written there would be an ACN corruption and theft problem as they wouldnt have any members

Is comparing Soweto to Khayelitsha a fair comparison though? Soweto actually has infrastructure, football fields, hospitals, restaurants etc I mean some places are really nice. Khayelitsha on the other hand, is basically a war zone.

Soweto is also probably 6 times the size of khayelitsha.

Soweto is a mini-city, with good suburbs and bad suburbs. It's not even a comparison.

Khayelitsha is a township. It's peers are Alexandra, Sebokeng etc. Take the Khayelitsha people and dump them in Sebokeng, let's see if they're happier where the GLM governs...

Scalewise probably not a good comparison. But in terms of development yes. Soweto has developed very well since the end of apartheid from what I gather.
