Yes, I support cutting the cost of government in SA - especially the bloated cabinet, however, the DA did not win the elections and therefore they had to compromise.

If the minister and deputy minister are from different parties, in theory, they can keep an eye on any nonsense from the minister. Also it appears that the minister needs to provide responsibilities to the deputy minister of his/her government, which suggests different responsibilities depending on the department involved.

I've got to ask...how did Dada manage to recruit all these inner city officials to chase illegal traders so suddenly? I'm astounded because no one has been able to find those officials for the last who knows how long now. I never saw a single one as a rates payer there for over 25 years so it is truly incredible .

Mashaba is not happy though. I wouldn't call him most useless really. I mean COJ has been slowly breaking down and he has only been in the position for a year. Can't do much in a year. Unless you are Leon Schreiber but unfair to compare as HA is mainly administration while COJ is huge infra.

Let's say it was - why are they only vocal about it now. When the city was falling into ruin over the past year then it wasn't treason. Just like all the municipal workers who are suddenly so hardworking...
