That shouldn't just be accessible or possible to anyone in the police? It should in fact require multiple sign offs, where its very specific who is doing the signing off, the fact that they dont have a name is very concerning.

No it wouldn't be. Only someone with delegated authority would have access to those transactions. What makes you think they don't have a name? The audit trail would indicate the user number and then the name is just one simple query away.

In the normal course of events there would be a large paper-trail. With supporting documents, authorisations etc. In this instance there will be fokoli because it wasn't a legitimate transaction. Someone didn't expect the other side to go snooping on the audit trails

I didnt see them mention that they knew who it was? I would think that if they have a name they would say so rather than just say that they know the time and date it was done.

Thats exactly the problem though, it simply shouldnt be possible, otherwise how many of these types of cases will never be picked up? Only this one because its high profile.

Police should have read only access to criminal records. Only an appointed official from the justice department should be allowed entry and changes with a paper trail.
