I gave it a quick skim, he just doesn't answer questions and instead refers the people to Parliaments Acting Registrar of Members Interest in terms of the Diamond from Louis, or to the Department of International Relations when it comes to his international travel.

There is a bit in the article about his excuse of getting the diamond valued before declaring it, and the committee rejecting that excuse.

What also made me really angry were these expenses incurred and paid for by us, the taxpayers:

You can find an amazing place for 30 or 40k per night. Why the need for the over-the-top indulgence like this? He absolutely does not need a hotel suite for R346K per night. Do these people lose all sense of reason and perspective?? Do they give a moment's thought about poverty in the country where they are from? The same people who use and abuse the unemployed and homeless to get votes, then fly off to other countries to indulge like emperors. Shame on them. It is disgusting and mostly importantly, there were ZERO CONSEQUENCES for him for this wastage.

Fck the homeless and the poor. They either voted for him, or allowed him to be voted in...

IIRC, he had quite the attitude when answering these questions (or maybe I am thinking about his answers to questions about his properties). The irritation, the curtness and the anger with which he refers us "elsewhere" to find an answer.

If you are in a position paid for by the taxpayers, you should patiently answer every question, clear up every misunderstanding and explain to people that which need explaining, BECAUSE YOU ARE IN THAT POSITION ON THEIR DIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
