SA Post Office issues new stamp

This is the funniest article in some time. The logo at least pays homage to the colonial roots of postage...

These might have some collector value. One of the few postal stamp issues where the underlying entity has no intention of ever delivering the envelope it's stuck on.

3 days ago I received a whole pile of mail in 1 go. Some of it sent last year in Nov.
 
Most stamps are considered more valuable if they don't have a post mark. I reckon if these stamps are ever actually mailed they will be much more valuable than unused ones.

Yeah, I mean consider the odds, you have to find someone desperate enough to use the post office, and then the planets have to align such that the letter actually gets delivered ... More chance of lightning striking you twice...

True, imagine being the only person to hold a franked South African stamp from the 2020s, indicating that it was on a parcel that actually made it to the destination. Now that's gold.
 
This will save them. Only thing better than renaming is a new stamp!
