SA registered address

Sooo, what's up with having a SA address? I see lots of posts where someone says something about having a SA address registered for WoW...

Think I missed something :p

Try asking a question that we can understand! LOL!

There were lots of talks about people not knowing if they could play WOW with a SA address, then there were talks about the fact that we cannot use Scroll Of Resorection when registered with a SA address. Which do you want to know about?

Like when people try to sell their account or someone wants to buy and account someone will ask if its registered with a South African address.
 
Its simple actualy, having an SA adress you do not qualify for some account bennefits. The most resent of these being reqruit a friend where you can get 3x the exp while leveling with them and an exclusive mount.
 
So...why are we being excluded? Do we not pay for WoW like everyone else?

Some countries does not allow people to get free stuff. If Blizzard then negotiate deals like this they have to clear it with each country, or just do it with a few and exclude the rest.
 
I suspect it's got more to do with laws in some countries regarding what they see as pyramid-schemes. While it may sound stupid, some countries actually don't allow trickle-down benefits like for example this RAF deal because of that. On the other hand, I could be way off here.

Didn't know when I registered so, I have my address on. Not going to sell anyway :D I'm a WoW addict now :p
 
Does this only apply to EU accounts? I've got a US account which is registered with my SA address and credit card, and I've never had a hassle. Used the Scroll of Rez on a friend also with a SA address and invited guys and it worked fine. This was however before the new mount unfortunately :P

Same with my US account. Why does EU have to be such a pain in the ass ? :confused::mad:

I want to take advantage of the RaF feature but that means I need to shell out for another 2 accounts. Screw that. :mad:
 
The old scroll of resurection worked fine on EU as well, it is since the benifits were linked to it like leveling faster etc. that the problems started.
