SA tech helping small-scale farmers grow

Agri-tech organisation Khula! (or "to grow" in Zulu), is attempting to level the playing field between large and small-scale farmers, BBC news reported.

Small-scale farmers lack access to resources and often find it challenging to get their produce to market. Khula! is attempting to provide a solution to these problems.

Launched in 2018, Khula! works with a network of more than 7,500 farmers and hundreds of suppliers and agriculture consultants.

I was previously involved in assisting small farmers, so read this article out of curiosity, to see which 'SA tech' was helping small-farmers to grow.

I'm none the wiser.

Instead the article mentions the need for 'funding' (aka money), which means not much has changed since I was involved, 30 years ago.

P.S I read the BBC article referred to and they talk about an online store and selling, app. It's worth mentioning that Kenya and other African countries have been developing rural farmer solutions for years

I was also quite disillusioned by the BBC article.
