She is lying through her greedy fat lips. Anyone who reads this, dont believe a word she is saying. Our telecoms infrastructure is in a hostile and terrible state with most ADSL users complaining of massive prices and poor reliability.

@ wizzard I think they are doing something about the infrastructure all the telkom boxes in my area got replace over the last 2weeks and in some areas there are still independent contractors working on it

WTF??? Watching the world cup on a 2-inch screen is not a gem, it is freaking pointless. Why must she be our DoC minister... give us someone with half a brain and a drive to get broadband to the masses... not stupid announcements like TV on a cell phone being some huge achievement for South Africa. Sheesh honestly - how long is a minister's tenure? We have suffered long enough....

Showcase us an unshaped, uncapped 100 Mbit connection for under R200 by 2010 and I would consider that a technological gem.

Where has this woman been for the last 10 years? She has absolutely no idea what the hell she is talking about.

All our ministers get sent on these expensive conferences and Technology events and come back with keywords and the latest phrases but have no idea what they mean! Seriously what does Ivy REALLY know about Technology, Telecoms, IT etc? It's rediculous, get someone with a background in the field they get appointed to and stop filling the positions for the sake of it!
