I am currently out of the country and would like to make calls through my current voip provider. However a few issues arise:
1. They do not allow connections from ip's other than SA.
2. Currently my ISP blocks voip connections.
I have read that a VPN can actually improve speeds/quality, and of cource using vpn would solve the above mentioned issues. I have personally found my current VPN services actually have increased my general internet speed, almost no matter which server locatin i use.
Naturally I could have choosen a VPN provider who offer servers in SA, butI only considered this after I signed up.
Does anyone have a suggestion? It really is only for my voip needs, so the bandwidth will be very minimal. All i need is a good ping. The voip provider in question actually advised against the vpn solution and continue calls to be forwarded to my cell phone, even though its not overly expensive I cannot phone anyone back...
