Hi guys

Considering ordering a mobile from SA webshop, has anyone used them before? Iv not used them, just wanted to see if anymore has any experience with them as I can seem to find any info...

Thanks

I would assume you were looking at either the Ulefone 5S or the Ulefone 3W? If so, I would suggest having a look at Gearbest. You can get those phones for half the price

It'll still end up being cheaper most of the time... However I forgot that our currency has completely gone to **** so at this moment it will probably be a little more than what Takealot might have it for

Yeah, just can't find any info for them really. They got a Facebook site etc, but like no real comments on it etc etc either.

Yeah that definitely seems a bit weird... I recently found another site called Suprematron that was mysteriously only created in Feb and have these massive lockdown specials but I can't find anything on them either.

Unfortunately I think there'll be lots of these places that are going to try and scam people during these times

Yeah and I'm not on the mood to fight for items or delivery..... even a Google search brought up nothing

yeah dont do it it does look scammy unless someone can vouch for them

Also can't find a contact number other than a cell number, can't find an addy as well.....

How's Rugged SA's pricing like?
Typical SA pricing, way over priced. Expect to pay double the price from China (including courier and duty). And don't think you get a local warranty either. After 14 days you have to pay to ship it to Rugged SA at your own cost.

What Does Rugged SA’s Warranty Imply?
  • All products bought from Rugged SA comes with a standard 1-year manufacturer warranty unless specified otherwise on the product page;
  • As a wholesaler, Rugged SA can only offer problem-solving for faulty products which either shipped in an unsatisfactory condition or developed internal faults naturally during usage without issues of physical damage or unsupported usage.
Faulty product outside 14 Day Policy and within the set product warranty:
  • Client/Buyer is responsible for all costs to arrange the product to be returned to Rugged SA’s physical address.
  • Rugged SA is responsible for all costs to arrange the repaired/replaced product to be returned to the client/buyer.

Wow that is embarrassing... I feel absolutely nothing for all of these supposed tech companies in this country. How can you expect to survive and continuously prey off of the uninformed? And then they always want to moan when business goes south...

Always read the T&C on the web site. If they don't have any ask for them.

For example I bought an AGM X3 6/64Gb in March delivered to me, total cost R5K from Aliexpress with DHL and R2K in duty and fees. That same phone sells here for R12K. Not quite half the price in this example. Also at the time no one locally had stock due to the CNY followed by the shut down in China.

Hi, just noticed this thread. We are a registered and legitimate online business / ecommerce store. We get our products from various South African wholesalers and manufacturers. You are welcome to verify our Soutg African business bank account with any South African bank that offers the verification service. We also have an instagram, facebook, and linked in account. Our physical address reflects on the website, along with our mobile number and email address. We are a small but growing business, and trying our best to offer products at competitive prices, but have to abide by market benchmarked prices and standards set by manufacturers, wholesalers and other well known larger popular e-commerce sites. Your welcome to phone or email us.
