SA XBox compatible with Europe games?

I have some friends who want to buy and XBox here in SA but might move to Europe in about a year.

My questions is will they be able to run games bought in Europe on the SA XBox? Would this apply to the PS3 as well?

I think European games are PAL, and US games are NTSC, and South African games are PAL, so as far as I know, you can run European games on a South African Xbox.

That said.... wanna buy my xbox?

The answer is yes. I import stuff from the UK and Australia. - All PAL
