What a disaster for PR. Their performance bowling could have been better, tighter in the second half. Batting was really underwhelming. Maybe I am wrong, but I really thought their line up was going to be competitive.

Massive credit to the SEC for a superb team performance. With ball in hand they were top notch.
 
Didn't expect to see PR bowled out for 49, tough for the home crowd
 
Royals batting is looking poor. Even the bowling doesn't look up to it. Are they missing some players who will join them later? Clearly 3 standout teams imo. DSG, MI and SEC. Am I the only one disappointed at the quality of the overseas players? No Aussies, no Indians, few English, no Pakistan players. That is most of the worlds talent that is not playing here.

India players aren't allowed to play in any league but IPL.
Aus players play in bbl, some joined previous seasons as replacement players late on but not possible this season as the dates clash completely this year.
Pakistan players won't be signed by Indian owned teams in the current political climate.
England there are quite a few younger and some experienced players here and some who will join post uae league commitments. The multi format players weren't available due to the ashes.

Lots of quality NZ players here , quality Afghanistan players along with Butler and Bairstow.

I have found the cricket good so far so no complaints about the players we have.

Jordan Hermann took the game completely away from them. Chasing 150 in Paarl is hard, 187 virtually impossible.
Meant they had go very very hard and it backfired on that pitch as is likely to happen 90% of the time.
 
I remember once almost the entire Dolphins season was ruined by rain.

Side note didnt expect the reverse fixture of the first game so soon.

I checked the fixtures, it seems super giants always play the same team twice in a row..hmm
