There’s now a strong balance between pre-signed and retained international and Proteas players, alongside a significant purse available for the auction,” he said.

“After three seasons, the franchises have developed a good understanding of the South Africa cricket ecosystem and adopted a distinct strategy which sets the stage for the most exciting auction yet.”

  • Pretoria Capitals have opted to do the majority of their business at the auction securing two players and a Wildcard in Windies T20 World Cup winner Andre Russell. The Capitals will head into the auction with the highest purse of R32,5 million available with a total of 16 players required to complete their squad.
  • Two-times champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape will unleash the exciting talents of Afghanistan’s 18-year-old mystery spinner Allah Ghazanfar alongside stalwarts Tristan Stubbs and Season 3 MVP Marco Jansen.
The Season 4 Auction will be live on SuperSport in Sub-Saharan Africa and JioHotstar in India with rolling coverage of all the action across all Betway SA20 social media platforms.
I’m glad I didn’t defect to Paarl. Cape Town is looking good.

Brevis did ok last time. They should have kept Brevis.
Pooran may be a good buy.

`Didn't know we could by Pak players 🤨
Just cause they register in the auction doesn't mean any side will buy. Unlikely with Indian ownership and current politics.
There has never been anything stopping any Pakistani player from a rules perspective to play in SA20.

They are doing quite a lot of renovation at Newlands.
The lights have been removed. There is some major construction at the members end, lots of work on the field and pitch.
Also a couple of permanent restaurants opened.

Full list of players in auction and reserve prices (in PDF):

No South African player is more than R500,000. Many names in the list at good value for starting price of R200,000.

Former England fast bowler James Anderson is among the 541 players who are set to go under the hammer in the SA20 2025-26 auction on September 9.

The 43-year-old Anderson is among 97 players from England in the auction pool. These also include Moeen Ali, Alex Hales and Tom Abell, the Player of the Match in the final of SA20 2024. Anderson made a return to T20 cricket after nearly 11 years when he played for Lancashire in the T20 Blast, followed by three of Manchester Originals' eight matches in the Hundred.

Allrounder Shakib Al Hasan and fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman are among 14 players from Bangladesh in the auction pool.

Not sure Jimmy or Shakib are better value than many others from the SA pool. Still, I am excited and looking forward to the auction.

14 Million for Markram. Crazy.

Any bets on Brevis? 16 - 17 Million?
