Lol. PG doing what CR brought him in to do; run public enterprises portfolio properly. Therefore your post makes little sense.

Little sense you say. What have CR done about that bloated cabinet? Only CR can do something about that. I am willing to put money on it that if PG was president he wouldve addressed it by now.

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan revealed on Thursday that the airline paid R5.7 million to Trillian Capital without following proper processes.

Another dodgy relationship with a consultancy firm at the heart of state capture, has been unearthed this time at ailing airline, SA Express.

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan revealed on Thursday that the airline paid R5.7 million to Trillian Capital without following proper processes.

Gordhan has sent an intervention team to get to the heart of the problems at the airline, which is technically bankrupt.

Cabinet on Wednesday appointed a permanent board for SA Express that will be led by Mmakeaya Ramano.

The minister says the airline is in the state it’s in because employees were on a mission to loot.

“The focus became the question, 'how can I steal,' rather than 'how can I make this airline run properly.'”

He says his intervention team has in just four days discovered two dodgy contracts.

This includes R5.7 million paid to Trillian Capital for advisory services and to raise capital.

“No due process was gone through to hire Trillian, and it appears no capital was ever raised.”

Gordhan says the airline has also been paying R67 million a month on a fuel contract, also without following process.

Appointing competent people to run various departments is part of CR's mandate. In his 100 days as prez, he 1) suspended SARS commissioner and initiated disciplinary process, 2) Got rid of various ineffective SOE boards, 3) Made good appointments in 2 key portfolios, 4) Put NW under administration, 5) Initiated criminal proceedings for various political figures, etc.

So, go get them, or are you going to protect them too like parliament did Zuma?
 
So the Mango flight I was just on, the pilot said thank you for flying SAA... Never heard that before, and fly almost weekly. I guess this is the beginning of the merger?
 
How to keep Mango and SA Express going on Taxpayer's money. No doubt SAA got a good deal.
 
Government cannot liquidate or sell off any part of SAA, Mango or SA express without all banks and other lenders to call in all loans from all SOE's with immediate effect. There are some clause in all loan agreements to cover all lenders if something like this should ever happen.

I think they are merging everything to centralize their crimes and losses.

Fact is, we as taxpayers will indefinitely pay for the SAA.

Apologies your high-ness I was under the impression it was not. Makes no sense to have two gvt. carriers anyhow so probably a good move then.
