SAA is bankrupt

South African Airways (SAA) is technically bankrupt after its debt increased to R15 billion – more than its assets.

This is according to the City Press, which reported the “airline’s finances are in tatters and the Auditor-General has raised serious concerns about its viability”.

Can we not extend their loan and give the board bonuses still?

And that is why when I fly overseas I use any other airline except SAA.
Close them down as well as the SABC.
Stop giving bailouts to these useless State Owned Enterprises.

Why don't they freeze Dudu and other top execs assets? They should have set an example but gov give they slap on hand. Start by retrenching overbloated incompetent staff.

#NewsNecro #CaptainObvious
They've been bankrupt for a few years now. Just hiding it with bailouts and borrowings. It's like paying your credit card debt with another credit card.

How many times in the past year as SAA claimed bankruptcy?

Why are their salaries still so high??? The whole lot need to take salary cuts. We can't keep subsidizing them from our hard earned money

So now it's our national airline, our electricity and our telecoms ?

Does a SOE exist in this country that isn't in a state of total shambles??? This is what happens when you enforce a ridiculous and unworkable law such as BEE... and appoint CEO's who should be inmates.

In times like these, its important they prioritize and get moar body guards

And maybe some new german luxury sedans
