I really do hope and prey, for the sake of the SAA and South Africa as a whole, that the SAA do not get any funding. This organization must fall.

I'd agree to this on the condition that Nico Bezuidenhout takes the helm. I'm sure we'd see a recovery in that case. SAA can make a profit, it's just being mismanaged.

As long as Dudu is there she'll be moving the "bailout" funds into her bank account.

No financial institute will touch SAA until they have published financials, and that isn't going to happen until Pravin is happy and provides the guarantee...

I think this is the whole issue Pravin, Has earmarked the 5 Billion to start with but it seems he is holding onto it until a new board is appointed (who he knows will use the funds correctly). Zuma doesn't seem content on getting someone to replace Dudu from the CEO spot.

I wouldn't be suprised to hear that the whole Pravin / Hawks saga thing is a scheme trying to blackmail/strongarm Pravin into a decision to give the funds over to SAA without a board adjustment

Given that the aircraft air mainly (?) leased: is SAA worth R16 billion to a lender ? :)

I think we as a nation should forget skin color for a while, stand with Pravin and show him that we all support him.

agreed.

I am glad that he (as part of the ruling party) is starting to stand up against the corrupt elite. It actually bodes well that there are people within the ANC that do care and hopefully once they all stand up to the corruption and inept spending the ANC can become a party that people will be willing to vote for.

Nothing about race here, I think. I think the majority of South Africans, black and white are indeed supporting Pravin, but, that being said, what use is it having millions of supporters when you have a government who could not care two flying fu**ks about what the population thinks or says. They just continue to do whatever they want.
