Just heard in the news (SABC3) that SAA threw away R100 000 of taxpayers money an hour last year - R883 million loss last year.
Boss Khaya says the taxpayer needs to help them.

This is the airline that repeatedly puts opposition out of business by price-wars, and that started the most incompetent cut-rate airline in the world, and they want help from me?????

Why are we paying for SAA? I can't stand them, my tax money, hard earned through 12 hour days, and stolen from me through force, is NOT TO BE GIVEN TO THEM!!!!!!!

John Maythem had a caller on Cape Talk this afternoon who's story of SAA's total incompetance in handling a crisis made me even more certain that I'd rather use a bicycle than SAA
 
Funding Mango can be expensive for SAA ... if they run out of money they will get more ... where's the incentive?
 
Does anyone here think that that the money given to SAA will ever be repaid... it's a bit like someone asking for you for a few bucks in the street

SAA like Telkom made their money through high prices on local flights (Telkom on local calls)

The only purpose of Mango airlines is to try and kill off the budget airlines - and this is going to cost us even more - and the funny bit is that you know, and you will still end up paying for it

why is that
 
they may be broke but it sure is good to fly their new airbus fleet locally...compared to some of the other junk boats flying around these days. Flying JHB to Dbn early morning and back the afternoon is always a pleaseure in a new airbus!! I do it regularly and compared to some of the other airlines you can't match comfort and safety!
 
best planes that tax payers can buy - are we talking about the same SAA pack them in like sardines, cost saving modifications.

OMG are the other airlines are not safe... ohh wait its just ment to look that way... fly SAA - all the way... pay, pay, pay

Yeah, but Im paying for this Airbus and I never fly it. (I wanted to say really nasty things but I'll refrain...)
