SAB/Casle losing the plot

Weird. I don't have any problems with friends that drink. Hell, my girlfriend even drinks.

It's obviously a generalisation, and most certainly doesn't apply to everyone. But given that alcohol loosens inhibitions generally, people are on the balance more pushy than they would normally be, and the nature of the drug being what it is, people who are drinking (to excess) usually want the people around them to join in. You would certainly hope that close friends and family would understand the situation of a non-drinker, it's not so much the case in a more public setting.

The main point I was trying to make though, is that regardless of the incidence level of these extra pressures, there's a market for these products to some extent due to these sorts of things.

Also, to people saying that beer without alcohol is just gross and pointless, well, that's subjective - I could drink a non-alcoholic beer on a hot day and enjoy it...

Agreed. Once again, I do like the taste of whiskey. Even if others don't. Thank heavens we're not all the same.

I've had the Erdinger Alcohol free Weiss. Was actually pretty good as alcohol free beers go.

It makes socialising much easier. Do you know how much **** you get by people drinking around you, if you don't drink? With these sorts of options available, all of that unnecessary pressure is removed (until, of course, people start trying to shove shooters down your throat).

I tell them I just had one and shooters make me nauseous. Those who know I don't drink don't bother me.

I'm sure that this will taste like piss (as Castle does) but there is a definite market for non-alcohol beer and ABInBev (SABMiller's owner) wants a piece of it. Personally I prefer Bavaria to the other non-alcoholic beers.

I liked Sterling Light Lager, but it was removed due to them moving low volumes. It was a low alcohol beer. It was by no means the best beer in its class, but I could drink it all-day long without getting pissed.

Just to mention, most people I know which advocates ‘niche’ drinks, still pitches up with ‘cheap’ drinks, seems some people still like piss anyways.
