SABC’s failed TV licence model

1. Identify the segment in the country with money.
2. Identify the needs of those with money.
3. Re-arrange all channels and focus on content for those with money first.
4. Create a single channel with limited content for the poor who cannot afford TV licenses.
5. Get rid off AA, BEE and corruption in the organization.

This will be a good step towards saving the SABC, getting paid customers back, growing revenue. But, these are such Western concepts. Why do all of this when one can complain to parliament and get the taxpayer to simply fund everything. Besides, taxpayers have an obligation to save the SABC.

I looked for the rugby last night, but nothing. I thought they promised us live games for each game where South Africa plays.

I saw nothing, maybe I need to rescan my tv again.

Why do we need a public broadcaster when the public don't watch?

There is nothing on SABC, that those who could, and would pay a TV license are interested in watching.

The programing choices of the SABC are targeted at that segment of the population, that steals as much as they can. So no suprises when their TV license revenue collection fails dismally

SABC’s failed TV licence model

Many South Africans don’t watch any SABC channels and don’t want to pay for a mismanaged and corrupt organisation.
Hi pls let me apologize but its not about mismanagement or corruption ,its bad content and its content that only services a certain nationality in SA, it seems everything goes with the sabc as long as it's black, I refuse to pay TV licence because of this, commercial black, serves black, game shows black and when a movie gets played its something I have watched 100 times b4 or it airs too late, we have to go work the next day right. If the content was of international standard I wouldn't even worry about what happens behind the scenes at SABC and I would pay my TV licence

Make sure not to watch any Denzel Washington or Jamie Foxx movies. They're also black. Just stick to OranjeFlix so you don't get offended.

They can at least act decently, in comparison, to the local talent, and as a result are are cast in way better content.

Lol love that, the problem is I would have seen it a thousand times before, Denzel and Jamie are amazing actors, just like the ones we have in SA, its just the fact that anything goes on our TV screens, all the good **** you want to watch has a subscription and believe me there are amazing home grown content there but when people can't afford to feed their families who is gonna pay TV licence or or subscribe to a platform where we can see SA talent doing it as good as Denzel or Jamie
