Johannesburg - Lulama Mokhobo, group executive: public broadcasting services (PBS) of the SABC, has resigned effective from June 30, reported Drum on Wednesday.

The magazine said it was not clear why Mokhobo, who was previously SABC group executive for public broadcasting services, took this step nearly 14 months into her position.

Hannes du Buisson, president of the Broadcasting, Electronic, Media and Allied Workers Union (Bemawu) also tweeted about Mokhobo's resignation.

According to Screen Africa the SABC issued a statement thanking Mokhobo for her service and wishing her well.

It's one of the anc propaganda mechanisms so to many its not a waste.
The golden handshake theory seems very possible or resigned before the truth came out.
