SABC home page

It's called news, it updates all the time. The first story was posted at noon and the next story was posted 6 hours later.

Why should they have removed the first post? It contains relevant information to the story, I think it would have been suspicious if they had removed it.

I'm not being patronising here, but from your perspective I think your spotting of the 'contradiction' was great. And in broadcast news, which I work in, if both stories were aired seperately to each other at the same or a similar time, I'd say that would be a contradiction.

But I read wires all day, the wires update as the story unfolds, however most people don't have access to wires so I think it's great that the net affords people the opportunity to actually follow a story like this, they can see how it changes as new info comes to hand.

And finally I hate TV anyway, even though I work in it, TV is push technology all you get is what the b*stds want you to see, internet is pull technology, you choose what you want to see. YAY for the internet!!!

I'm with you on this one, don't own a TV don't want one. There's major bias in the news media and they "push" their view on the viewers. Internet is definitely better where you choose what you see and you see all the facts of a specific story not just the broadcaster's view. Similar to the SABC and eTV posting elsewhere where the eTV camera man caught the SABC guys "in the act" when they were covering a function and then reported a biased opinion of the events happening.

If Telkom is bad with 40% being owned by the government what about SABC with 100% ownership being the government?!
