SABC chasing ghosts

The South African Broadcasting Corporation's (SABC's) News division has embarked on a process of hunting and eradicating "ghost workers" on its payroll using selfies, TV with Thinus reports.

Citing insider sources, the report stated that all workers in Gauteng have been instructed to present themselves in person.

I don't understand the issue. By definition "freelance contractors" are paid for the work they complete. They do not earn a salary. If you get the product, you pay for it.
Why does it matter that there are "ghost" freelancers. If managers are paying people for not delivering work they are the ones to be prosecuted.

This is most of our government lol. I bet only 20% of the payroll employees actually work...

There are tons of government departments few have heard of. Ever heard of the Moral Regeneration Movement? Begun by Thabo Mbeki, they have staff, offices, cars and a budget. The public is almost completely unaware of them:

Chairperson of the Moral Regeneration Movement, Father Smangaliso Mkhatshwa gave a contextual history of the work of the Moral Regeneration Movement over the years and called on it to be streamlined across all departments and provinces in South Africa, especially at municipal level.

Seems the only thing the terrorists managed to do was mess up a entire country and loot billions nothing else. Oh and the difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter is that a freedom fighter does not attack civilian targets.

Actually, thats a good idea. Throw a fake year end party for all the "staff", free KFC and Whiskey, once they are all in, close the doors and ask for ID
There will be nobody left in the government of thieves.
