Angellus : As far as I'm aware, HDTV was just launched in England last week
Not sure what happened, they had a presentation saying that in conjunction with Sentech and Multichoice, HDTV is now officially launched (first for Africa). And then when it's getting interesting, they cut transmission and show between 5-10 minutes of advertsInertia said:Wot u mean 'on SABC 1 now'?? They actually did a live HDTV broadcast feed?
JStrike said:Angellus : Do you have a proper (1080p) HDTV? I have been curious as to the price in SA for a while now

JStrike said:Angellus : Yep, the toshiba hd-dvd player has been a massive flop. Enthusiasts were expected to buy them in droves (as they would be the only people willing to pay the current high price). Unfortunatly the lack of 1080p has caused lackluster sales in this crucial, early adopter market
