SABC not meeting local mandate

RUBBISH!!!!!!!!

There is such allot of local junk and local repeats it's just not true anymore. I want to know why with our demographics and people living below the breadline are there no tv shows from squatter camps and the likes? We have shows like iKasi, our stories on one of the SABC channels but most shows only cater for the black diamonds and not the real man/woman/families on the street.

How many local music shows are there now on tv or how many local teenager shows or local drama's? There are local sport shows showing the same content just another presenter.

SABC repeats local things after generations time slot. Gugu no Andile, Death of a Queen are just two SA productions I have watched several times due to the repeating.

In its latest compliance report, for the 2009/10 year, Icasa found that the SABC had failed to meet its mandate regarding local television shows.

:wtf:

Kettle calling the pot smoked

If ICASA had been fulfilling its mandate, it would not have taken 2+ years before ICASA decided to cough up this crapola.

That said, if ICASA is saying the SABC broadcasts too many trashy local TV shows, I totally agree.
