Yes, but now they'll think they have a bigger claim to it, since you now have the possibility to use their service.

Eish, that fancy IoT fridge of mine is going to cause me to have to pay a TV License :P

....you know the saying...first start off crawling...before walking, before running...In the case of the SABC, you effectively starting to recover from a motor neuron disease, that has totally incapacitated you ... you were paralyzed and still on life support, not out of the woods by a long shot...rehab is your name, not the next paraolympics.... why not start off, just being a boring dull public broadcaster ... a functioning bori... with news, boring cheap local content... --
Thing is, around here its all about starting new things instead of fixing old things, probably for the bling and tendas, but kinda fitting into the whole preventative maintenance is only applicable in a western modality meme.

Example SAA, don't correct your failures, just abandon it while simultaneously starting a 'new airline'.. bang! score!

"You now have the ability to watch Egoli re-runs, so you will happily pay the new household levy."

The gravy must not dry up it must flow like a river after the rains.

Don't forget, Magnum PI, the Brady Bunch, Rich Man - Poor Man, and of course DALLAS

All in 4:3 format

If Only... but I somehow doubt the SABC has a license to stream those things at all... they just have a standard broadcast license on that content.

So it will be Isidingo, 50/50, Liewe Heksie, Mina Moo and that sort of stuff.
