SABC to get a bailout

Communications minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams has announced that National Treasury has agreed to provide the SABC with interim financial relief to prevent the broadcaster from collapsing by the end of the month.

While the quantity of the bailout is still to be decided, Ndabeni-Abrahams made it clear that it would not be the R6.8 billion that the SABC said that it needed to keep afloat.
 
I wonder how Cloudy Motsoeneng sleeps at night. A lot of this is due the to terrible decisions he made when he was Chief. The SABC was in trouble before he arrived, but he accelerated it.

Part of me wants to say, let it go broke. Start afresh.

It started in 1995 so it's not all Cloudy Motsoeneng's fault

how much is it to implode the buildings in Auckland Park? its much cheaper surely and they can use another 100m to make it a nice park.
 
Couldn't care less. The end result is a SA slowly deteriorating into fully decolonized state. Whether it happens by constant bailouts, corruption, looting, <insert badstuff here>, the story of Africa shall play out once again. And no one can stop it.
 
This is the ANC equivalent of ass to mouth. Bailing out Eskom isn't enough and they couldn't finish there.
 
The ANC is busy writing a brilliant study guide for the world on how to fu*k a country up in no time.
 
This article is now the last nail in the coffin. Literally.
I have been paying my TV licence every year since May 2000.
I have not watched any SABC channels in over 10 years.

The bailout AGAIN means taxpayers money is been used for the Billions bail out. ie my tax, your tax so in other words i am still paying for SABC but now in the means of TAX.

Excellent, this is my loophole to NEVER ever to pay my licence again. My monthly tax is already paying for it.
Tsek SABC, blerrie naaiers, this whitey is fedup, enough is enough :thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown: Come arrest me, blacklist me, whatevs...
 
This will carry on for eternity. The voters are however happy to support the propping up of SOEs. I find it hard to grasp such utter stupidity as they are paying for it.

You deserve the government you get and the financial burden that goes along with it.
