SABC TV Licence online payments offline after major security flaw discovered

The South African Broadcasting Corporation's (SABC) PayNow service for TV licence is unavailable, meaning holders will have to go to a physical pay point to process their payment.

This comes after MyBroadband reported a major security flaw relating to the SABC's TV licence web portal that allowed attackers to view people's account information and outstanding bills without needing their password

.... Just as I was about to pay them that R8.5K I owe them.
Almost slipped on a tear puddle on my way to the toilet.

EDIT (CORRECTION):
Apparently it's now just R7386... so sad, almost got to buy a bargain.

Doesnt change a thing for me - SABC/Revco you can suck on my boerewors, I am not paying anything, you can keep on calling and emailing me, it won't change a thing!
 
The payment and SMS system is still down. :(

Is there another method to check your account balance?
