SABC TV Licence replacement in 6 months

Let's accept that OUTA is on slippery ground and has to be careful what it tells the public. Let's also accept that the vast majority have spoken and like e-tolls will simply not pay for a TV license irrespective of what the government wants or thinks. Government has already overplayed its hand in respects of taxation and is going to find that resistance to any form of taxation is going to get stronger and stronger. Putting someone in prison for 6 months doesn't mean they will suddenly pay the TV license fee, but it does mean they don't pay any incomes tax for that period either.

6 months prison? Who's going to pay for that, and support your family whilst you can't do your job and pay your taxes?

Further more, prison for refusing to pay for government propaganda?
And a license to receive government propaganda?

Sell and produce something that people want to watch.

How's that for a sustainable business model.

My invoice is in the mail ,

But it will never get there.

Didn't help me much when I was trying to buy a new TV last night from Amazon/Takealot. How many sales are they losing out because of this tired old nonsense.

Had to go through my buddy who works for a distributor to get the TV. And ended up getting a bargain price anyway.

Communications Minister Solly Malatsi recently revealed that his department planned to submit options for a revised, sustainable funding model by 31 March 2027.

Funniest paragraph of the whole article....

How's the Digital TV rollout going?

As a pensioner that hasn't watched tv for over 3 years, I have tried to remaain legit by renewewing annualy [Low cost}. this year, as normal, I attempted to renew via tvlic.co.za and the website was non-responsive. after 3 tries, I realised that theydidn't want my money.. Certainly not going to renew at SAPO, each time I go there is a non productive waste of another hour of my lifespan as either their system is down or the card machine, she not work, please pay cash. Therefore I have chosen the fitst option, KMSA

Just remember that Hlaudi sold off all those old show rights, so the SABC cannot even use them as reruns, as they have nothing they own copyright to left, and thus are recycling old stuff from the USA, and other fillers that they got in bargain basement sales, as they literally do not even own copyright to all the sport they covered for decades, while DSTV can show it 24/7 as a channel.
