Would anyone know why this url would have several GB`s used by it on a network?

3.8GB this month on this network...

safebrowsing-cache.google.com 391022 3884.514 326602 (83.5%) 3129.495 (80.6%)

It says that its used to filter out phishing sites and stuff... but 3.8GBs?

Well its 24GB of http traffic, and of that almost 4GB comes from that URL.

Could be Firefox downloading updates for the phishing database it keeps in the user profile directory "urlclassifier3.sqlite". It can get to 20-30MB, and it gets re-downloaded if it's deleted (mandatory profiles or computers have deep freeze or steady state installed). Turn off 'Block reported attack sites' and 'Block reported web forgeries' to get around this.

i uninstalled chrome because of this. stupid google. when you have a limit at work you cant afford to waste 50mb on google nonsense..
