safety cage vs roll bar?

hi everyone

I am considering buying a nissan np200, and their site says something about the midspec petrol having a safety cage....what is a safety cage? Is it just a baby roll bar?

I think that a safety cage is actually a structural feature built into the body/chassis of the vehicle. A "roll bar" as seen on so many bakkies is purely a cosmetic item.

Correct! An interesting little advertising insert to make the gullible think that they are buying racing cars!
