Anybody else received marketing emails from Sahara & Annex? I've received special offers (to the public) from both of them for the first time ever today.

Strictly COD & VAT excl pricing in both cases.
I'm not a dealer so I'm wondering how I got on their mailing lists.

The first one from Sahara was "SAHARA CRAZY DEALS!!" and included additional pricing for LCDs (AOC, BenQ & LG) Windows pre-loaded, antivirus, Lexmark printer & external HDD if you purchased a pre-built.
No power supplies or cases.

I got them too, but I am not registered with them and would never buy from them. had one too many bad experiences with them in the past.

Also been receiving them (not registered) - keep cancelling via the opt-out, but they just ignore it! I tried them many years ago and was not impressed... now they bug me with their marketing when I don't request it, I'm even less impressed!

If I was not registered and they sent those specials to my private email address, I would print it, return the email to them highlighting that I want and then demand that they sell it to me.Nope.

I'd take them to every consumer body in SA, including ASA! If I'm not registered with them, they have no right to send me emails and create an expectation that I may purchase from them.Aren't distributors largely exempt from CPA?
While I'm at it I'll report them for Spamming as well!

Looks like the pricing is valid to the end of September from these so-called "dealers" http://www.sahara.co.za/where-to-buy.html - furniture stores :wtf:
Reminds me of the old Mad magazine back page of Richard Nixon under a Arabic banner which supposedly translated as "Would you buy a used car from this man"
