sahring file from ubuntu to windows server 2003

Hey I've set yo dchp on windows server and managed to connect my ubuntu pc to it. i now want to be able to share a folder from ubuntu and view it on my windows server. Is that possible?
I've tried using samba to share it but on my windows server its not picking up.

open command line

type in

net use Z: \\<ubuntu-server-IP>\sharename-of-folder /user:ubuntu-username ubuntu-password

that should map drive Z to the shared folder on your Ubuntu PC.
