SAIX ADLS network falling over? June 2009

It's probably cos you guys are all trying to use the "ADLS" network... while the rest of us are on the ADSL network.

I cannot download faster than 50KB on my 4MB line was fine a few days ago. i tried http ftp news servers etc with multiple connections, anyone else? on Saix btw

My line was dead yesterday (voice and ADSL), Telkom have repaired it, but now I have the problem of my ADSL running at 512kbps and not 4Mb.

Telkom replaced the card at the exchange, 4Mb speed is back thankfully.

That's exactly what I had, changing the card at the exchange fixed it.

My card at the exchange seems to have blown.
Phone works, but no ADSL signal at all (tested 3 modems)

Been 5 days and still waiting on telkom to fix

In Durban too,just got home to find out my modem only has the red light showing.i tried reseting it but didnt help.

It's been happening to me and a few of my friends as well. Strangely it enough it only gets this bad in Cape Town when it rains. Otherwise my line is usually fine.

After having same problem u guys have for 2 months, the guys at telkom finally offered me a 'plaster' - using a telkom approved proxy atm.
196.43.9.21 port 8080 or dsl-cache.saix.net port 8080
works better now but as I said it is only a plaster (temporary). They told me I'll prolly need a techie out here.

DSL problems - Cape Town

You guys experiencing regular DSL sync problems? Here in Somerset West, both at home and at the office, I'm having DSL sync issues. But at times it just starts working again. I'm guessing our weather is causing this?
