SAIX DNS servers not working.

I couldn't open www.mybroadband.co.za for 3 days now. Could ping it fine, everyone else using something other than SAIX that I knew didn't have a problem. Anyone else get this?

Did Dig and Nslookup tests on a few SAIX DNS Servers , and they all resolving www.mybroadband.co.za fine.What DNS servers you using ?

If you can ping www.mybroadband.co.za than DNS is working fine - might be a expired cached page on your PC ,maybe you running thru your own Proxy

I don't have the problem anymore (else how would I access the site?). And no, not using any proxy software, nor have I been. The site mysteriously refused to load.

I have been unable to view any web pages or send/receive mails since around lunchtime yesterday (Fri 19/5) - right now 11.44 on Sat 20/5 is the first time that I can load any web page - have been seeing all kinds of weird DNS related problems apart from the usual "page unavailable" - tried to log on to ABSA - got some weird address on .co.uk.

Isn't it time everybody started logging the times/days when the ADSL service is unavailable/broken and deducting this from their Telkom telephone account payments each month? Sure as hell, something needs to be done to wake these incompetents up!

I experienced a yo-yo like service from the SAIX DNS service.

Mostly it works, but at times it just fails to perform - not even knowing about Google.

If you're using winxp, try running ipconfig /flushdns from a cmd window.

196.25.255.3
