Hey

Could everyone reading this please post the following:

AREA: ie. johburg or add more specific information if possible
ISP: SAIX or IS
PROBLEMS: Whatever problems your experiencing.

Since SAIX is to useless I figured ask the forum and try and formulate an idea of who the hell is affected by major slowdowns, disconnections or simply no connectivity.

Area: Bloemfontein

SAIX (webafrica)

No problems.

ADSL 1024

torrent going at 82kb/s

Area: midrand
ISP: SAIX
PROBLEMS: regular huge packetloss (Last time when I tried to phone telkom technical support they asked me if I was capped when I said I could not even access local... then after debating the fact for 10minutes the person finally said that numerous people are reporting problems and that they would call me back to let me know what the problem was in 5 minutes.... I'm still waiting 3 days later  ).

Area: Cape Town, Durbanville
ISP: SAIX
Problem: International is unbelievably slow. This is really getting ridicules.
It's actually up and down. It's going ok for 30min then it's running slow for 30 min. WTF is going on with these idiots?

Can a mod make this a sticky, its a rather important post and something I want to stick inside SAIX with all their denial responses.

We need more feedback, come on ADSL users, post post post!

Midrand..

Local only, unless connected through NukeCap free proxy, then it's happy days.. :)
If not then, I might as well use a bit of string..

Killarney Gardens, Cape Town

SAIX (Axxess)

Past two weeks quite frequent disconnections, and Int. non existent at times.

512

cape town, sea point,

can't really browse anything, even local is choppy sigh

Roodepoort : funny acting ADSL, no ping to local or international sites.

Local and partial international working.

Pretoria

SAIX (Axxess)

International gets timeouts (Guildwars), when it was fine a week ago. Plays for 30min, and then network timeout occurs.

We have a national problem, but dont worry, we have the men in blue to protect us.. *zap* you will not remember any of these problems!!

PROBLEMS: Down to 3Kbs on P2P
Maybe posting your Dslam info would help if you want to report this? ;)

nah its pretty easy to figure out the areas affect with the information gathered. Dslam info wouldnt matter much, there is still only a selective peering networks from each area.
