Hi all

I have a 30GB local IS, and 10GB Int SAIX through openweb.
IS is working fine, but SAIX does not resolve any web address names.
According to http://www.openwebadsl.co.za/ I have 3GB left on my SAIX account - and I can connect and get an IP, but after that nothing .

Anyone have any idea if any of these router settings are wrong? (same settings for IS and SAIX)

Encapsulation - PPPoE
NAT - enable
multiplexing method - LLC
vpi 8
vci 35

Primary DNS: 168.210.2.2
Secondary DNS: 196.14.239.2

Thanks
Paul

You can't make use of IS DNS servers while connected to SAIX and vice-a-versa

See http://www.saix.net/cgi-bin/saix_dns.pl for the SAIX DNS server settings.

Ideally just leave your IP address and DNS settings on automatic then your PPPOE session will negotiate them from what the network sends to you.

Ensure that the DNS server IP addresses are also included in your routes.
You are most likely using SAIX's DNS Server but connect to them using the IS connection

Try using IS DNS servers - they will also work for local
