What is the average salary for a junior C# ASP.NET developer? Someone with roughly around 1.5 years experience. Thanks!
 
You are going to get so many different answers. You should check sites like payscale etc.

A stab in the dark: R14-R18k (Cape Town)? I actually don't know.

It really depends on the company, where, what qualifications you have, what their budget is for the position.

As an example, one in Pretoria, another in Jhb:
A friend of mine used to have positions open in his department for 10k for someone like you.
Another friend of mine started out in such a position at 17k with no experience.
 
Also keep in mind that salary isn't anything. Some places are geared towards developing employees further & that can make a big difference esp early in the career.

Degree?

R12-16k. Depending on his skill aka how often can he get work done without his hand being held all the way.

Both of the above. The company I work for seems to be a combination of the two.
 
R15k was my salary at that point although I did have to push to get that (and I was doing some management in between). That was in 2009.
