Salary Scale for a Mid Level WordPress Developer

Hi guys,

How much would you pay a mid level developer (3 years solid experience) WordPress / Drupal developer with junior Social Networking API experience (able to build basic apps for Facebook [polls, rating systems, etc] and use Twitter API).

The person is also relatively flexible with building WordPress / Drupal plugins and or modules. He writes clean CSS / HTML. Modest jQuery understanding. He uses: HTML5, Grunt, Responsive Frameworks (Foundations / Bootstrap), CSS3, HTML5, CMSes (Wordpress / Drupal / Joomla), he is capable of maintaining source code on most Php Frameworks (Cake Php and Igniter).

How would you go about remunerating that someone in say an company like: Ogilvy or Blacksnow Digital (direct competitors)

In an above the line company like Ogilvy 20k is probably about right, but in smaller operations 15k is probably a reasonable expectation. I don't necessarily agree with these levels, but IMHO the Wordpress skills market is diluted by a lot of template pushers who occasionally Google a script change but are not really all that proficient.
