Has anyone experienced massive problems with this program? It worked initially for a day, and now all it says is "connection to server lost". Any idea as to how to fix this? (Iv tried creating a homegroup, putting off firewall etc)

Also, is there any other application that works really well on Samsung Tv's?

Mine is working 100% (All Share on Win8)...

You sure? Do you have a link as to where you downloaded your Allshare? Iv read lots of people struggling with the app on windows 8..

I couldn't find Servio on the Samsung app store...

You don't need it. Install it on your pc, add your files to the library, then it will appear in the sources list of your tv. It works great.

Ok. So I tried Plex, it look amazing but I don't like that it does not keep my folder structure.

Serviio and Windows 8 own DLNA service gives me the same problems. I would like to add my own folders exactly as they are, however both these programs load a list of folders onto the server e.g Music - Ratings, artists Video - folders, recorded tv etc.

Im trying to figure out how to get rid of these folders. I would like to just have my Video folder containing my videos, music folder containing music as is etc.

Look at Mezzmo then. Very configurable if you going the DLNA route. I tried Serviio, TVersity, blah blah and Mezzmo trumped them. Now days I am a Plex fan.

Downloading Mezzmo now. Is there no way to keep folder structures in Plex?

If you follow the naming conventions then it maintains structure for TV Shows. Movies are flattened by default.

You can filter by genre, year, etc... And this is done automatically by Plex via The TVDB, IMDB, and etc...

Serviio can be configured to work the way you want. Go to the Presentation Tab and have only Display Category for each category and Display Content Only on Folders enabled, with everything else disabled.

Iv downloaded Mezzmo, working quite well at the moment. Keep the folder structure as is and it's extremely fast.

I did try the display content only setting on Serviio, but it never worked for me for some reason.

I think it's quite bad that Samsung's own software struggles on windows 8, especially given that they are normal ahead and are making windows 8 tablets

Right click and connect to server?

Worked for me.
