Hi

Anybody know how to set this up?? The articles I've read say that your fone will automatically show up in windows explorer once you enable the app on your fone. Others say to type '//android' into cmd. Neither works for me but everyone says its so simple

edit: nevermind i got it to work! darn things will always wait just until you resort to posting in the forums before it decides to start working

Perhaps share with others how you did it, it might save someone else time. Also, people are more willing to share with like minded people.

Please note this works over your home wifi network. Your cellphone and the pc you want to connect to must be on this same wifi network.

Okay step 1 is to download samba fileshare to your fone, note:it requires root.

Then go to settings and enter a password. Then 'click enable'.

It will then display an IP address on the screen. On your pc,click 'run' and type the adress in and press enter and you are all done! Your fones sd card will automatically open up as a regular folder on your computer and then u can transfer files to and from your device wirelessly over your home wifi network.

If you have a rooted phone just install the following:

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.funkyfresh.samba

ss-320-0-7

Once enabled on your phone just open windows explorer and type \\ipaddress\ into the Windows Explorer address bar.

Simple as that :)

and if you want to access your PC from your phone use ESfile explorer! Allows streaming of audio/video as well. I love it :D
