Hi guys,
I have a contract data plan from MTN but I need more data, upgrading the pakage is just to expensive and I want to get another data plan from lets say Cell C.
The router I got with my MTN contract is a Huawei device(don't know the model).
The Cell C pakage is a SIM card only with no device.
My concern is, can I use the Cell C SIM card in this router I got from MTN? I don't want to get a new router!

Go to Cell C and ask them for a sim card to test your router, you will need to RICA.

I did this and didnt have an issue

Pretty sure you'll be able to, I've used a Vodacom and 8ta sim in my MTN router without any problems

Did you guys use MTN's software to connect and to view data usage?

Hey, I had this problem this weekend. I have a 5gig cotract from Telkom business and exchanged my mtn mifi router for a e352 from mtm. At first I kept getting error 619 on both pc dialup (with no software installed) and with mtn software. Once I used 8ta connect it works like a charm.

Btw, why dont you go for afrihost mobile, you can get a apn on your mtn sim and then you wont even have to change sims. Also its very much cheaper than any cell company.
