Samguns S2333sw and S2333?

Hi all

I just got my replacement monitor from prophecy. I had a S2333sw but they sent me a S2333. From what i can tell the monitor seems the same but why are the names different? :confused:

I just wana know if they sent me a monitor that isnt as good as the one i paid for.

Erm, google might help you out. There was talk of this the other day. I thought the contrast was the only difference...
 
AS far as i can tell the difference is that the S2333sw has a dynamic contrast of 20,000:1, this S2333 has 50,000:1.

So is that a good thing then? hehe im a LCD novice to excuse me if thats a stupid question.
 
Well, 20 000 is less. But many people will tell you that you cannot discern the difference with the naked eye anyway and that its all just marketing spin.
 
So more is better?

or "supposedly" its more so its better?
 
Hehe, sorry. Yes, more is better. But I don't think you can notice it.

It is the same as speakers having huge PMPO wattage ratings which mean nothing. You have to compare RMS output.

I'd send it back and get the proper replacement if the S2333 sells for less than the SW model. Check on that. The DC issue aside, if you paid more for the SW then either they need to refund the difference or supply the proper thing.

Unless ofcourse the SW wound up cheaper than the S2333... then just ignore me and keep your mouth shut! :D
