With the Gauteng and Free State Provincial Championships now completed, the positions for the remaining berths at the 2010 WCG trials, as sponsored by SAMSUNG, are only open for players who qualify at the following provincial championships:

  • ASUS 2010 MSSA Eastern Cape Championships to be held in Port Elizabeth on 3 July 2010, and
  • ASUS 2010 MSSA KwaZulu Natal Championships to be held in Port Elizabeth on 3 July 2010, and the
  • ASUS 2010 MSSA Western Cape Championships to be held in Cape Town on 17 July 2010.

Each of the above championships will produce two players who will compete in the SAMSUNG 2010 WCG play-offs to be held in Sandton Square. The players who qualify at such events are those who finish in first and second places respectively.

The winner of the play-offs to be held on 7 August 2010 will automatically be chosen to represent South Africa at the 2010 World Cyber Games that shall be held in the USA in September this year.

The gamers who have already qualified for this event are:

  • Kevin Doran (Gauteng Championships)
  • Sebastian Collins (Gauteng Championships)
  • Ryno Gildenhuys (Free State Championships)
  • Quinton Sweetman (Free State Championships)

All qualifiers are reminded that they must have a valid passport at the date of the WCG play-offs to be eligible for selection.

Rock on!
