Just picked mine up from PC Int for R2221 and all I can say is ...

Coming from a 17' CRT....

Can't wait to get some HD demos to test on the screen...
BTW, connected via the VGA output of my laptop, can I still see HD videos? Or is this just a matter of the codecs you use?

You should be able to see the HD's if you've watched them before. Don't know if your lappy supports 1080 though

No.

Since they require an HD capable port.
That would mean DVI or HDMI.
You could if you are able to jippo the cable and connectors, though.
