My wife got a brand new samsung a7 2017. The problem is , this phone only got the default ringtone, you cannot change it. Did I also mention that it contain vodacom software. It got the latest Android version, 6,01.
How can I change add the ringtone, eg, copy a file from another phone.
 
Download Zedge choose another ring tone.
 
Before you can add the tone, you need to switch screen overlay off, google say it is a android 6 bug.
 
According to SamMobile the latest software is 6.0.1, released on 2017/07/02, on both XFA and XFV.

What happens if you connect the phone to your laptop or PC via USB cable?
Are you able to browse the phone?
If you are, you could load MP3 files to your Ringtones folder, or perhaps the music folder.

The laptop works fine, but now even whatsapp give the very same alarm, I cannot use whatsapp, face was like that, but after a restart it worked again, but not whatsapp. [[screen overlay]]
