Hi
not sure if this is the right category to ask, but whats anyone's take on the samsung care + maintanance program/plan that you can buy when you upgrade your phone? I did this last year, but now I gave in my note 10 for repairs, but this plan from samsung is so confusing as there is mixed messages regarding how it works, I've read how it works, but still don't trust it. Even samsung's head office in SA gives me mixed messages how it works, making not sure what to believe. To make it worse, you already paid for the plan and then they tell me there is some kind of repair fee! that doesn't make sense or justify it. I am just wondering if it is worth the money to spent on top of the upgrade, what will one get out of it? or even worse, a money making scheme for samsung?

I remember seeing a small leaflet in the box with my phone. As far as i can remember it just covered a cracked screen repair and replacement battery. Nothing more.

the guy at the repair shop told me that samsung once again changed their system regarding this, so it lets me wonder

When i signed up for the Samsung Care, I knew that a repair fee will be applicable for repairs to the LED or Back Cover.

Each repair had a different "excess" which was broken down in my contract upon accepting the T&C.

Samsung Care does not come standard with the phone, and you can only sign-up for it within the 1st month of purchasing your device.

I see it as an insurance with excess, which for me is better than having to pay R4000+ to repair the screens on these phones.
